Empowerment & Health Conference for Women of Color
The Sister to Sister Empowerment and Health Conference has been an instrument at the forefront of a movement to empower women. We continue to incorporate a dynamic cadre of women who share their personal stories, and their blueprints for achieved success. With the growing diversity of our communities, we accept the clarion call to embrace all women, for an anonymous author once coined that "it is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change," and Sister would like to be that response to change as we endeavor to meet the needs of the community. At the seat of this intense one-day conference, we engage women in power sessions addressing a myriad of their concerns, and we provide them with unique networking opportunities, as well as "free" health screening for HIV/AIDS, Breast Cancer, Glucose, Cholesterol and other life-threatening diseases. We are enabled to provide these services through our partnership with Harlem Hospital Center and the American Cancer Society.
